When Eminem first came into the game, he was praised for his dark lyrics and the dark music that came along with it. Such songs as “Stan” equal Eminem at his best. After achieving commercial success, Eminem soon began creating the celebrity-diss records that he is famous for.
With each passing album, Eminem has gone more and more pop. When he returned with Relapse, earlier this year, hardcore fans of Eminem pleaded for him to display the type of rapping style that had made him famous. Despite their pleas, Eminem’s album featured half of each style. He did promise that his next 2009 album, Relapse 2, would be exactly what the fans wanted.
Just Blaze made a name for himself due to his production work with the artists on Roc-A-Fella Records. By 2005, Just Blaze found himself becoming one of the top producers in hip hop. Some say that Just is on the level of Swizz Beatz and Dr. Dre.
Indeed, he is one of hip hop’s top producers, but he is known for working with artists based in New York. Just Blaze is probably best-known for his work with Fabolous, Joe Budden, Cam’ron, Jay-Z, Juelz Santana, and Saigon. No one would ever venture to say that his style and Eminem’s style go well together.
Eminem announced a return to his old style with this new album. Sometimes, in order to go back, one has to try something new. As a result most of Eminem’s Relapse 2 will be handled by Just Blaze.
